First Aid for Sport - Emergency Aid
Cost £70 per person (Group discount for 6 or over) - duration 6 hours (1 day course)
The course is the equivalent of the First Aid at Work (Appointed Persons) course, but with the main emphasis being on sports related injuries.
The syllabus includes adults & child C.P.R. & is suitable for club coaches, managers, parent helpers & those involved in the participation of sport at all levels.
Each course will be made specific to the sports requirements of the delegates.

- Action at an emergency- Roles and Responsibilities
- Pre event precautions
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation- UK Resuscitation Council
Protocol & 2005 update- Management of the unconscious casualty- assessment & treatment, including recovery position and use of AVPU
- Wounds & bleeding - assessment & treatment of a casualty who is wounded, bleeding, and shocked
- Fractures, dislocations, Soft tissue injuries
- Head, neck and back injuries
- other conditions, asthma, epilepsy, anaphylaxis, heart attack, etc
